1.	PACKAGE:  Help with the Rent:  Reporter Yana Kay – If you are one of the many people who are struggling to make ends meet.  The County of Los Angeles is implementing the HPRP through several Los Angeles County departments, such as the Department of Public Social Services and Community and Senior Services.   A new Los Angeles County Homeless program called, “HPRP”, which has 12 million dollars to spend, may be able to help.  Kathy House, Acting DCEO of the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office stated that the County’s goal is to try to reach people that are disadvantage by the economic down turn. 

2.	Renter Beware: The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer Affairs has information that con-Artist are using home foreclosures crises to scam             Los Angeles County residence.  According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, vacant homes created from the home foreclosures crisis has given criminals the opportunity to pose as landlords.
 
3.	PACKAGE: Weights and Measures: Reporter Greg Goldner - Gas stations are everywhere in Los Angeles County, but how do you know that you are getting what you pay for at the pump. Mark A. Smith from the Department of Weights and Measures explains in detail of the process of measuring gasoline.

4.	More Roads Open: The Department of Transportation has reopened Angeles Crest Highway after a series of winter storms that caused several weeks of cleanups and destructions.

5.	Remote Area Medical: National Healthcare reforms may take a few years to kick in, but the uninsured will not have to wait long for care.  The Remote Area Medical (RAM) program, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor 2nd District, Mark Ridley-Thomas.  The RAM program will be here on April 27th to May 3rd at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. 

6.	Portraits of Hope: The children at the Los Angeles County Hospitals are giving the Los Angeles County beaches a makeover by creatively painting colorful panels that will be places on the lifeguard stations this May.

2.	New Probation Officer: Los Angeles County has a new Probation Officer.  Donald Belvins was appointed to the position as Director of Probation effective April 19th after Robert Taylor retired last month.  Belvins comes to LA County from Alameda County where he served more than fourteen years. 

3.	Child Support Offenders: More than 9 million dollars has been collected from delinquent parents, thanks to the efforts of the Department of Child Support services.

4.	PACKAGE: Crown Jewel - Reporter Yana Kay – The LA County USC Medical Center has move to its new location, more than a year ago and it has not missed a beat since, with state-of-the-art technology modern marvel.  Pete Delgado, CEO of USC Medical and Michelle Odian, Nurse Manager of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit describes in detail on how the facility function.

5.	General Relief Overhaul: Department of Public Social Services officials are hoping to get more homeless people off the streets by restructuring General Relief (G.R.).  G.R. is a temporary monetary relief to the unemployed, but many have stayed on this program for decades, without any attempt to find other means of financial support. 

6.	LaCresenta Library – LaCresenta residence are very happy when they borrow books at their brand new 15,000 LA County LaCresenta Library, which will help provide a community meeting space for local residence that live in the area.
